The Chesapeake Employers Insurance Company, formerly the Injured Workers Insurance Fund (IWIF) of Maryland, has been a major and annual supporter of the preservation efforts at Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse since the United States Lighthouse Society became the lighthouse manager in 2004.

In 2008, JELD-WEN, as part of a nationwide public competition, donated 9 custom-made windows and two custom-made exterior doors to the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse restoration efforts. The designs were based on information about the historic 1875 windows and doors and were approved by the Maryland Historic Trust, as the State Historic Preservation Office.

Fine Paints of Europe has been donating its high quality oil and water-based paints to the lighthouse restoration and preservation efforts since 2008. Their products are used throughout all of the interior and exterior of the lighthouse, with the exception of the flooring decks.

Donations are a critical source of funding for the restoration, preservation, and public use of Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse. We accept all levels of charitable donations, but have created special levels with corresponding benefits for major sponsor and individual donors. Every dollar counts! Since we are a non-profit organization, all donations are tax-deductible, to the extent allowable by law and the Internal Revenue Service.
