North Head Lighthouse


Location: 244 Robert Gray Dr., Ilwaco, WA 98624.  2 miles north of the Columbia River, 3 miles southwest of Ilwaco.

Facility: Located at Cape Disappointment State Park.  Three former lightkeeper's houses, each with 3 bedrooms upstairs(two
with queens and one with 2 twins). Bathroom in each house is off the kitchen.  The houses can accommodate a maximum of six people.

Point No Point Lighthouse - USLHS National Headquarters

Location: 9005 Point No Point Road NE, Hansville, WA 98340.  On Puget Sound at the tip of the Kitsap Peninsula near Hansville.

Residence 1: Historic Keeper's Duplex
Two bedrooms (1 queen, 2 twin beds), sofa sleeper, one bath and a fully furnished kitchen. The other half of duplex is the national
office of the U.S. Lighthouse Society.  Open year-round.
Residence 2: Historic Keeper John Maggs House
This one bedroom cottage on the light station property was built by the first lighthouse keeper John Maggs and his wife Caroline.
One bedroom with a queen size bed, one full bathroom with a shower and a fully furnished kitchen.

Point Robinson Lighthouse

Location: On Vashon-Maury Island across Puget Sound from Seattle and Tacoma

Facility: Vashon Park District offers two historic Keeper's Quarters as vacation rentals, retreats and wedding venues.  Quarters A
has three-bedrooms and two baths. Two roll-a-way beds also available for a maximum of eight overnight guests. Quarters B has
two-bedrooms and one-bath. Two roll-a-way beds available for a maximum of six overnight guests.

Point Wilson Lighthouse

Location:   At the lighthouse within Fort Worden State Park, Port Townsend, WA

Facility:  4 bedrooms (sleeps 8), 2 full baths (toiletries provided), kitchen (with all appliances, coffee, tea and more), Dining room and
living room with a water view.   The beach is right outside the door and Port Townsend is a 10 minute drive.  The facility was formerly
occupied by Coast Guard personnel. The keepers duplex is currently being renovated so you have the entire lighthouse property to yourself.

Browns Point Lighthouse

Location: On Puget Sound, 11 miles from Tacoma.

Facility: 3-bedroom historic lighthouse keeper's cottage, full kitchen, named "One of Ten Best Lighthouses to Sleep in" by Smartertravel.com. Maximum of six people,
including children.  
Duties: Displaying flag each day, maintaining a log of maritime traffic (optional), keeping the cottage yard tidy and having the place clean and ready for next 
lightkeepers.  Each Saturday from May through September public tours are held in the cottage from 1pm-4pm in the cottage. Tour guides will be on site to lead tours.  Renters
are required to have the cottage ready for the open house and vacate the cottage for four hours during the public tours.  Due to Covid 19, public tours may be suspended.

New Dungeness Light Station


Location: On the Strait of Juan de Fuca at the end of a 5 mile spit, near Sequim.

Facility: The Keeper's Quarters has 4 bedrooms, 3 with queen beds, 1 with 2 twin beds.  Maximum capacity is 8 people.  Children must be six (6) years of age or older. 
Keeper transport day is usually Saturday at low tide, which sometimes occurs in the middle of the night. Tides may require a Friday transfer, especially during winter
months.  Must be a member of the NDLSA.
Duties: Keepers perform maintenance duties at the Light Station including watering, mowing and trimming the lawn. They also give tours and provide historical
information to the visiting public. The Light Station may not be suitable for the physically challenged. The duty of a Keeper is a physical job and includes giving
tours of the light tower (74 steps).
