Acadia National Park. Reach the island by Maine State Ferry Service from Bass Harbor.

Little River Lighthouse 

Location: Little River Island in Cutler, Maine

Facility:  Located on Little River Island at the mouth of Cutler Harbor in Downeast Maine. The fully restored 1888 keeper’s
house features three guest bedrooms, two with double beds and one with two twin beds.  Kitchen, living room and two full
baths are shared by guests. Transportation to the island is provided. Guests may enjoy climbing the lighthouse, exploring walking
trails or savoring the views. The overnight program runs from the beginning of June through September.

Pemaquid Point Lighthouse

 

 

 

 

Location: 38 miles southwest of Rockland near Bristol, ME

Facility: A one-bedroom, one bath apartment on the second floor of the keeper's house at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. Maximum

Seguin Island Lighthouse Guest Quarters (Also see listing under Volunteer Host)

Location: On Seguin Island, 2 ½ miles south of Popham Beach

Facility: The guest quarters offer two upstairs bedrooms. One bedroom has two twin beds and one bedroom
has one twin and one double bed.  Guest quarter rental only available to members, 2 nights maximum. Bring and carry your own
food and water.  Linens supplied. Carry on/carry off except for linens which are FOSILS responsibility.  $350.00/night does not
include transportation which is up to each guest.

West Quoddy Station - Former Life-Saving Station 1, District 1


Location: 823 South Lubec Road, Lubec, ME 04652. West Quoddy Head Station, Downeast Maine, in the historic seafaring town of
Lubec is a 5 minute walk to West Quoddy Light.

Facility:  There are 8 buildings here on The Easternmost Point. 12 units all with sunrise to sunset ocean views, decks [except KC], private
baths, kitchens, WI-FI, DirecTV, including the 5 bedroom Station House, the 4 bedroom Meetinghouse, the Lodge (60’ Deck) has four 
separate units, each with full kitchen, beds & private bath, the 2 bedroom Keeper’s Cottage, the 2 bedroom Crews Quarters (40' deck), 
the 2 unit Buoy Barn, the Cabin and the Camp.

Whitehead Light Station


Location: On Whitehead Island, 10 miles south of Rockland

Facility: The entire facility, comprised of the 7 bedroom Lightkeeper's house on 11.1 acres, is offered for rent by the week during parts of June,
July, August, September and October. Three of the bedrooms have one queen bed, two have one king convertible to two twins, and two have
two doubles. All bedrooms have their own en-suite bathroom.  Retreats and educational programs are also available.  Rest and relaxational
weekends are offered June-October.

Volunteer Host

Seguin Island Lighthouse (Also see listing under Vacation Rental)


Location: On Seguin Island, 2 ½ miles south of Popham Beach

Facility: Summer caretaker position lasting from Memorial Day until Labor Day with lodging in the keeper's quarters. Applications are
due in November.
Duties: Duties include greeting visitors, providing tours of the Lighthouse and Museum and maintaining the grounds and buildings.
Keepers should be in good health, have First Aid training and be all-round handy persons. Prospective caretakers should be aware that
during foggy weather, the signal blows continuously (twice every 30 seconds).
