Lighthouse Directories & Lists
A compilation of lists and directories providing extensive information about lighthouses and maritime museums. These are excellent sources for finding historical data, current and historical photos and up to date location and access information.
National Archives Database
The information for this database was originally compiled for the U.S. Coast Guard Historian's Office by volunteers of the U.S. Lighthouse Society's Chesapeake Chapter. It contains information reproduced from U.S. Government "Description of Light Station" inspection reports in Record Group 26 and more.
Lighthouse Organizations
International, national, regional and state organizations are the life blood for the preservation of lighthouses and their history. Through their efforts the world’s maritime treasures will survive for the enjoyment and of education of future generations.
