A wealth of information about lighthouses, lifesaving stations and lighthouse keepers is available from local, regional and national libraries as well as newspapers and archives.  Using the internet archives, Library of Congress, National Archives and other sources you can learn more about the history and development of the lighthouse service in the United States. Members of the Society are also welcome to contact headquarters to obtain additional information from Society experts on a wide variety of technical and historical topics.
