2021 Greece -Cyclades and Crete

There is nothing quite like having your own yacht to explore the islands of the Cyclades. 

M/y Elena is very much a private luxury adventure for 12 Members - all being cared for
by a wonderful crew of 5. Note: September sea temperatures of the Aegean are delightful. 

Once aboard m/y Elena our voyage takes us to more than a dozen islands scattered across the beautiful Aegean.

Our journey is weather dependant, in that for your comfort and
safety, we avoid all areas where winds exceed “Force Four ”(over 20mph.) Hence route changes are possible.

Immediately upon our return to Athens we fly to Heraklion, Crete.
In Crete there are so many historical sites and civilizations to explore.
Our journey takes us all along the northern coast of Crete to the ancient city of Chania,
where we view one of the loveliest Venetian style lighthouses.
 

 

 

 

Day 1 - 15th September: Rooftop reception and Welcome dinner Athens Greece. Overnight Athens

Day 2 - 16th September: Morning Parthenon tour. Afternoon free to explore – Overnight Athens.

Day 3 - 17th September: Bus to view the Corinth Canal, plus Sousaki & Malagkavi lighthouses. - Overnight Athens.

Day 4 - 18th September: AM Naval lighthouse Museum. PM voyage to Kea. View Katafiyi light, Akra Anglisteros, Agios Nicholas lighthouses. Accommodation m/y Elena.

Day 5 - 19th September: Voyage to Andros Island. View:- Fassa, Tourlitis & Gria lighthouses. Accommodation m/y Elena.

Day 6 - 20th September: View Dysvato, Agios Kosmas and Livida lighthouses on Tinos. Travel to Mykonos. View Armenistis lighthouse and visit Maritime museum. Overnight  Mykonos.

Day 7 - 21st September: Visit Delos island – First millennium BC World heritage site. View Gaidaros lighthouse on Syros. Overnight anchorage either Syros or Paros island.

Day 8 - 22nd September: Hike to Korakas lighthouse on Paros. View Akrotire lighthouse on Santorini. Accommodation m/y Elena.

Day 9 -  23rd September: Voyage from Santorini to Folegandros. View Aspropounta lighthouse. Accommodation m/y Elena.

Day 10 - 24th September: To Serifos. View Polyaigos, Spathi and lighthouses. Accommodation m/y Elena.

Day 11 - 25th September: View Tamelos lighthouse on Kia. Return to Athens by midday. Late afternoon flight to Crete. Overnight Heraklion.

Day 12 - 26th September: Heraklion – Visit Koules Fortress & lighthouse ruins. Tour Knossos Palace. Overnight Heraklion.

Day 13 -  27th September: View Panormos and Reythymo lighthouses. Visit Agreco farms. Overnight Reythymo.

Day 14 - 28th September: Bus to Drepano and Chania lighthouses. Overnight Chania.

Day 15 - 29th September: Full days journey - bus over mountains and boat to Gvados Island & lighthouse.  Late dinner on your own.

Day 16 - 30th September: Early morning tour of Chania Market. Late morning bus journey to Falassama Beach hotel (North West corner of Crete) which is said to be on one of the most magnificent beaches in Europe. Relax and enjoy the afternoon at the hotel pool or perhaps walk for miles along this great beach. Lunch on your own. Farewell Dinner at 6.00pm in Chania.

Transportation and Entrance Fees

a.    Boat travel around the islands is weather dependent. Should the wind exceed force 4 (approximately 25 MPH) course adjustment and / or sailing cancellations could occur.

b.    Fuel cost and VAT taxes are calculated in September. Should there be significant changes in the 2020 the pricing listed may change slightly.
